Nature of request
Peter, son of Peter de Roteham, requests the office of warrener of the little warren belonging to the manor of Bosham, for term of life, as it has been badly kept and allowed to decay by foreigners appointed by the Earl Marshal.
Nature of endorsement
He is to have a writ in Chancery to the Sheriff of Sussex, to inquire into whether it is to the King's harm or anyone else's, and whose; and the inquisition is to be returned before the King. And there is likewise to be an inquisition into the other articles contained in the petition.

C 143/65/17 is dated 35 Edward I (20 November 1306 - 7 July 1307), and CPR 1301-7 p.516 is dated 10 April 1307. Both clearly result from this petition. Bigod, Earl Marshall, died in 1306.
