Nature of request
The Dean and chapter of Rouen state that they have always held the church of Ottery St Mary, of the gift of Edward the Confessor, and the confirmation of kings, popes, archbishops and bishops, until lately, when at the instigation of the Bishop of Exeter the King has presented John de Charnebrok, forcibly expelling them from their church. They request a remedy, so that justice might be done to them, according to their charters and other muniments, a copy of which are attached to this petition, as they have sued in Chancery, and the Bishop and his presentee can show no evidence for their right, but they have not been able to have justice through this suit.
Nature of endorsement
The process in Chancery is to be produced.Because the King had no right to present to the church, which was held by [one or two words illegible] for [their] own use, as appears by [their] charters and other muniments shown on this, let the presentation made to this be repealed, and let the Dean and Chapter sue if they wish in court Christian, or elsewhere if it seems appropriate to them, to have their possession back, notwithstanding the presentation, prohibition or other writs made to the contrary; and if any are made, they are to have modifications of them if they wish.

CPR 1330-4 p.40 is dated 18 January 1331, and p.44 is dated 22 January 1331. It is clear from p.40 that the petition was presented in parliament: so presumably that of November 1330.
