John de Riggeton, who has served the King's father and grandfather in Scotland and Ireland, asks the King and council to consider the debt the King's father owes him, and to grant him either 10 marks annually from the rent of York until the debt is paid, or the office of constable of Drogheda castle for term of life.

Note
CCR 1330-3 p.272 is dated 13 October 1331, and would seem to be in response to SC 8/70/3456. This unsuccessful petition is similar, and probably earlier, although its mention of the King's father and grandfather shows it to be from the time of Edward III.
