Nature of request
Isabel Power states that although she had purchased the king's protection while she pursued several suits, Thomas Whitchirche, cordwainer of London, came to her house, insulted her and wounded her with a knife, and cut off one of her husband's arms, maiming him forever. Then, when the Mayor and Recorder of London sequestrated part of Thomas' goods because he had done this contrary to the protection and could not be found, his wife and servants broke down this sequestration. She requests a remedy for the contempt shown to the king and the damage done to her.
