Nature of request
Bertrand de Poiolif states that the King gave him an annuity of £100 Tournois to be received from the issues of Gascony until he had made other provision for him, in compensation for the damages he had received. After one unsuccessful attempt to provide for him, the King granted him £100 from the prevote and bailiwick of Saint-Emilion, which he has not been able to enjoy because of the malice of the Seneschal and Constable of Bordeaux. He asks that they might be ordered to let him enjoy this gift, and that he might have compensation for the arrears.
