Nature of request
Richard Poleyn states that he took the farm of sheaves from the attorney of the Abbess of Montivilliers, and that this farm has been totally burnt and wasted by the king's enemies. He requests the king's grace, as the king ordered by his writ that nothing should be paid and that there should be an inquest, for which he is still waiting. He also asks that if it is found to be true, that he and his farmer might be acquitted of the farm, as they have had no profit from it.
Nature of endorsement
The Keeper of the Isles is to be written to and instructed that, when there has been an inquiry into the truth of the contents of the petition, he is to return what he has found at the next parliament.
