Nature of request
Maud, widow of Peter Pirle, states that her husband died seized of the manor of Oakley and of lands in Mancetter, and that after his death they passed to his son, Thomas Pirle, who granted her a rent from Oakley as her dower. He then died, and the lands have been taken into the king's hand because of the minority of Edmund, his brother and heir; and the petitioner has not been able to receive her rent. She requests a remedy.
Nature of endorsement
Let it be shown to the king.At Westminster, on 2 June in the ninth year etc., it was agreed by the council that the aforesaid supplicant should be expedited as she requests.
