- The petitioners complain of gorces placed in the River Trent by Colwick, who has diverted its course to supply a mill he has at Over Colwich, and who is wrongly levying tolls on the traffic passing along the river. They request a remedy.

- Let certain justices and wise men be assigned by writ of Chancery to supervise and inquire etc. into the contents of the petition, and especially if these gorces and mills are constructed to the prejudice and harm of the King and of the aforesaid community, as the petition claims, or not, and if this is so, then to what harm and to what prejudice to the King etc., and to hear and determine these things contained in the petition etc.
