Nature of request
The petitioners request that after having made fine with the king for all manner of trespasses within the forest and without they can have the charters of pardon which Purneuk granted to those who paid towards the fine for only a little fee, and also that the king will suffer that neither the eyre of the forest nor a trailbaston will be sent to the county until the country is much recovered.
Nature of endorsement
Concerning the first point the record and process of the business is to be brought into Chancery, and when it has been viewed if it is found that it is so they are to have their charters according to the record. Concerning the second point they should sue before the king.
