Nature of request
The people request remedy as the king ordered the sheriff to furnish a certain number of oxen for his larder, but took many more without number and detained them until they bought them back from him to the great harm of the king and the ruin of the people.
Nature of endorsement
Let certain people be assigned in Chancery to enquire of the things contained in the petition, and to hear and determine the complaints of all those who wish to be party to this complaint.
