- Nordon requests that he be granted a writ to the justices of the Common Bench that he may be released from the Fleet at sufficient mainprise, until the matter for which he is imprisoned is tried so that he is not condemned by imprisonment. Pypard recovered a sum against him by a writ of trespass by which he was imprisoned until satisfaction was made, but Pypard is his neif since Nordon acquired the manor of Northdon.

- The petition is probably no later than 1377 if the Roger Northdon noted as having been killed by numerous individuals can be identified with the petitioner. But it is also interesting that this petition is addressed to the council and not the king or king and council, and may suggest either the absence or incapacity of the king.
