Nature of request
The petitioners request remedy and the coming of de Ilde to remove the evil done by the sheriffs, ridingmen and other bailiffs to the commonalty of the county to the profit of the people and the advantage of the king. The officials have taken the property of the common people by false juries, and charged mariners who are not culpable with ransoms.
Nature of endorsement
They should sue the complaints before the justices assigned to hear and determine complaints of sheriffs and ministers in Lincolnshire, and a transcript of the petition should be sent to the justices and they should be ordered to do justice to them upon this according to the form of the commission made to them.

The petition can be dated to 1315 by the heading in Rot. Parl. Vol. I, p.289 that dates this to petitions made before the council in parliament in January 1315.
