Note
The petition probably dates to c. 1320 as it clearly follows a vacancy in the diocese of Lincoln. The hand is clearly of the first half of the fourteenth century, and probably earlier than later, and vacancies occurred in November 1299 to January 1300, January to August 1320, and December 1340 to September 1342. The petition is clearly not from 1299-1300, and although 1340-42 is possible, the date of 1320 seems more likely.
