The mayor and commonalty request remedy as they hold the city at farm from the king, but now L'Estrauge, to whom the king has granted the castle of Lincoln as the late earl of Lincoln held it, has procured a writ of enquiry to see what profits pertained to the late earl and the jury is drawn from the county from those who are allies of L'Estraunge.
