Nature of request
Nicol requests remedy as he bought timber from the Cliffords from the woods in the manor of Skipton. The manor is now in the king's hand by the forfeiture of Roger de Clifford and the bailiffs of the manor have arrested the timber although he paid the Cliffords for it before the forfeiture.1)
Nature of endorsement
He should have a writ to the bailiffs to deliver to the petitioner the timber that were felled before the forfeiture, and for which he has paid, and if they have still done nothing on this thing, let it be done.2) Coram rege.
