Nature of request
Maloun requests that the king order the seneschal of Gascony and the constable of Bordeaux to give him an allowance for the money owed to him for his wages in the money he owes the king for the land of Marensin, and to pay him the outstanding wages due to him from the time of Galicien and others without delay.
Nature of endorsement
The council does not assent that compensation be paid nor allowances of wages, because of the great business that the king has to do; but he should be paid as quickly as the king can properly do this.
