- Marchaunt requests remedy and that his wages that are in arrears for 2 years be paid as he has lost everything. He was ordered by the prior by Grandison his attorney to supply the castle of the Isle during the war.

- It is ordered to the prior that he should pay to Marchaunt before the feast of St John the Baptist what is found by his rolls to be due, and let a writ be made on this because the prior confessed before the king that . . . at his wages . . .as much of the wages as remain to be paid to him.

Note (Additional information about the record)
- The guard notes date this to c. 1278-1279 and then give a reference to JUST 1/1157. The two do not tally as JUST 1/1157 dates to 27 Edw. I or 1298-9. The petition therefore dates approximately to 1298-1299, though it is unclear how long the prior of Wenlock held office in the Isles.
