1) Marewudd requests that the king will grant him the value of the castle of Dynevor and of the land that pertains to the castle elsewhere in the land where it is less to the king's hurt. The castle is his right and was promised to him by Chaworth once it was conquered.2) Marewudd requests a writ to the king's bailiffs of Dynevor to distrain Howel ap Griffyn to do the suit owed to him for Llansadwrn which he has withdrawn since being knighted.3) Marewudd requests that the king will forbid his bailiffs of Dynevor from disturbing the abbot of Dynevor from doing the service to Marewudd, which service he ought to do of right.

The petition is dated on the basis of the evidence presented by Rees to 1283-1287. Marewudd went into revolt in 1287 concerning the failure of the king to grant him the castle of Dynevor. The earlier date of 1283 is based on the date of the Welsh War (Petitions Relating to Wales, pp.97-8).
