Nature of request
Mareschall requests that the king have regard for his service and that of his family, and for the great ransom that he has paid when he was captured in the Scottish war, and grant and order that the lands and tenements which were his father's in Scotland which are in the king's hand be delivered and restored to him to be held according to the purport of the charters of the king, as well as the lands and tenements that that attain to him as son and heir of his father.
