Nature of request
Copy of a writ of Edward II to John de Grey ordering him to search the inquisitions, information and memoranda concerning the lands of Ewloe for the time Grey's father was justice and send them to the king under seal to the king so that he will be able to proceed more advisedly concerning the petition of Robert de Mouhaut requesting delivery of the same lands as part of his inheritance.
Nature of endorsement
[Response of John de Grey:]He has caused the inquisitions, information and other memoranda from the time when his father was justice of Wales to be searched according to the tenor of the writ. He has found an inquisition taken before his father and Staundone concerning the manor of Ewloe, and is sending it with the other memoranda concerning it to the king with the writ.
