King and council.
Nature of request
The petitioners acting for Alice request an inquisition and restitution so that she is not disseised and disinherited of her inheritance as the prior and Leisset have . . .
Nature of endorsement
Lesset says that the lands and goods of St Remy were taken into the king's hand because he was outlawed. The heirs say that the king pardoned St Remy this and restored him to his lands and tenements, but that this pardon was burnt by the Normans in the war, and they request that the rolls of Chancery be examined and justice be done according to this.

William de Seint Rem. . . (St Remi)
Prior of Wenlock
Robert de Leisse (Leisset).
Note
The petition probably dates to c. 1301 as a reference in the close rolls shows the St Remi inheritance to be a live issue at that time (CCR 1296-1302, p.418).
