Nature of request
More requests remedy in this present parliament concerning the felony and treason, and ordain by parliament that she may be able to maintain an appeal for the death of her husband and son in the king's court as the people of Cumberland are in doubt whether such a suit can take place without the confirmation of parliament since the killing took place within Scotland, having regard that all the good men of the county were present at the time of the felony. John de la More had answered a command of the deputies of Lord Percy for a march day to settle disputes with the Scots but was killed with his son by Blenkinsopp and others.
