Nature of request
Moriz requests that it is ordered by writs to the treasurer and barons of the Dublin Exchequer, and to the customers and escheators to pay him the arrears of the sum granted to him or suitable compensation in England. He was granted for his service sums to be taken from customers and from the issues of the escheatry in Ireland until the king could make suitable provision for him in land or rent. Following the grant of the manors of Blackcastle and Babeston he was not able to be paid from the customers and escheatry despite suing for payment.
