Abbot and convent of Moyne.
Addressees
King.
Nature of request
The abbot requests that they may be able to pay a debt that they owe as they have been totally ruined by war and cannot pay the debt.
Nature of endorsement
Let it be ordered to the justice and treasurer of Ireland that they should make an attermination of the debt at their discretion, having respect to the poverty of the house.

Note
The petition probably dates to 1318 or thereafter, but no later than 1322 as the petitioner refers to his house being ruined by war, which presumably is a reference to the Bruce wars in Ireland that ended in 1318, and the petition is answered in Latin which suggests a date before 1322.
