Nature of request
Munden requests remedy and that he is able to have suit against Wroth of a writ to make the record and process be brought before the mayor of the city of London so that justice can be done to him for Wroth sued several pleas of account against him, and he has been imprisoned for 21 years because of this. There are errors in the record and process and he has unsuccessfully sued to bring the record and process before the mayors because of Wroth's influence.

The petition can be dated to c. 1372 by the reference to Wroth as sheriff, and to the terms of Chichester and Bernes as mayors of the city of London. Wroth served as sheriff from 1351-2, and Chichester and Bernes were mayors from 1369-70 and 1370-2 respectively.
