- Micol requests that he be given £1,000 by the treasurer, or it be passed to him by the Bardi, so that he is able to buy wine more cheaply, as he is in Gascony at the time of the wine harvest. Previous butlers of the king have bought the wine in England, and because the merchants take a profit, this is to the great damage of the king.
