Cumberland to Ligonier, acknowledging receipt of his letters of 9, 11 and 12 [SP 87/26/23] of that month. Although not unduly concerned at the movements of the French, he wishes Amherst to be sent to Herentals to collect further information. Fawkener has details of the limits agreed. He will return to the army the following week. Dated at Herrenhaus. ff. 42, 43
