Cumberland to Bedford: he assumes that Newcastle has left for Hanover and will write to Bedford to lay before the lords justices. He encloses a dispatch from Sandwich with a plan for peace. Bathiani has detached troops into Luxembourg, as he could not afford to keep them at Roermond. He fears their army may disintegrate and recommends they be paid what they are owed under the two conventions. The states [general] have agreed for Cumberland's troops to be cantoned in the Netherlands. Dated at headquarters at Nistelrode. ff. 6, 7
