Cumberland to Newcastle: his thanks for the king's acceptance of his recommendations. His satisfaction that the king has procured peace without dissolving the alliance. He encloses a copy [SP 87/25/94] of his letter to the plenipotentiaries on the return home of the troops, a memorial from General Grovestein on the Dutch troops in British pay [SP 87/25/95], a plan of winter quarters for the Dutch troops [SP 87/25/96] and correspondence relating to the arrest of an engineer and four English soldiers [SP 87/25/98-101]. Recommendation for three promotions. The definitive treaty was signed the previous day. He encloses a copy of the reply from the plenipotentiaries [SP 87/25/102]. His plans have the approval of the greffier and the prince of Orange. Dated at headquarters at Eindhoven. ff. 186-189
