Description

Newcastle to Cumberland: the king hopes that Cumberland and Saxe have settled their difference over the 'limits'. He is also considering ordering Vice Admiral Byng to cease hostilities in the Mediterranean. Saxe's and St Severin's intention of returning to France demonstrate the sincerity of French intentions. Dated (OS) at Whitehall. ff. 328-332
