North East Africa, Arabian Peninsula. 'Map of the Nile Provinces from the railway terminus at Assiut [Asyût] to Berber. Compiled in the Intelligence Branch, War Office, from the most recent manuscripts 1887. To Join on to Map of "Red Sea Littoral" N o 773'. Reference table to sub-division of tribes. Scale: 1 inch to 16 miles. Inset: 'Sketch Map of Egypt Proper. Nubia and the Egyptian Sudan': site map; scale: 1:8,000,000. Intelligence Branch 662: compiled and lithographed at the Intelligence Branch, War Office, July 1887, revised November 1890, and small corrections March 1896. Published by Edward Stanford for the War Office. MS colouring. Intelligence Division 773 (FO 925/2994) is an eastern extension of this map.
