Sudan (now Republic of Sudan). 'Map of the Nile Valley between Absarat and Firket [or Ferka]'. Reference note. Scale: 1 inch to 2 miles. Inset: 9 line drawings of views. Printed annotation: 'Note... The topography from Firket to Koyeka [near Sai Island] is taken from I.D.W.O., N o 546. The Route from Mograka to Absarat is taken from a sketch by Major W. Verner, Rifle Brigade. All the rest of the map is very unreliable'. Intelligence Division War Office 1180: heliozincographed at the Ordnance Survey Office, Southampton, 1896. MS colouring of water. Although note cited IDWO 546, this map was actually published as IB 546.
