Reference notes on compilation: compiled by Colonel E P Leach, V C, C B, RE and Messadaglia Bey, 1885-1887, signed Colonel Leach, 15 May 1887; additional information incorporated from IB 662 (dated 1887), signed Major J C Dalton, Deputy Assistant Adjutant General, 1 April 1889. Reference table on distances. Scale: 1:253,440. Intelligence Division 736 (a)-(b): lithographed at the Intelligence Division, War Office, February-April 1889. MS colouring of water.
