'Africa - North Coast Egypt The Port of Alexandria. Surveyed... under the direction of Commander A. L. Mansell H.M.S. Tartarus 1857'. Approximate scale: 21,618. Compass indicators. Plan produced by the Admiralty, with corrections to May 1882, for the Royal Engineers' Institute. Insets: Section of breakwater, drawings of beacons and several port approach views. Appears to be a reduced scale copy of Admiralty chart 243: scale: 1:18,200; reduced from original drawing by E J Powell; engraved by J and C Walker; published, 1 September 1857, with corrections 1861 to June 1881.
