Description

Chart of the River Medway, from Rochester to Sheerness; showing soundings, anchorages, batteries and drawing of a ship. With a decorative cartouche. Approximate scale: 3.17 inches to 1 mile [1:20,000]. Compass star. Surveyed by Greenville Collins. Endorsed: 'Col. Lilly' [Colonel Christian Lilly, Engineer, promoted to Colonel in 1705, died 1738].
