Baden (now in Germany): Philippsburg. 'Philisbourg': plan showing redoubts, bastions and gates. Title and reference table, (in French) in ornate cartouche, flanked by a female and a male figure. Scale: 3.7 cm to 200 toises. Inset drawing in lower right corner: a shattered tree, below which is a cloaked military figure, pointing; surrounded by cannon balls, a wheel, two barrels of cannon, and a hurt or exhausted figure. For most of the century after 1688, the town was in French possession.
