Newfoundland (now in Canada). (14) Plan no 1: 'St John's Newfoundland. Sketch of Part of Signal Hill shewing... the Sites proposed for the new Garrison Hospital. Scale: 10 inches to 2,000 feet. Compass indicator. (15) Plan no 2: 'St John's Newfoundland. Plan of a piece of Ground situated near the foot of Signal Hill and proposed to be purchased as a Site for a New Garrison Hospital'. Scale: 8.25 inches to 500 feet. Compass indicator. (16) Sections relating to plan no 2. (17) Sections relating to plan no 1. All drawn by J G Jervois, Lt RE, 1 October 1849; and signed by G Whitmore, Capt CRE, to accompany his letter of 30 September 1849. Dimensions of sheets: (14) 63 cm x 75 cm; (15) 52 cm x 38 cm; (16) 51 cm x 74.5 cm; (17) 16.5 cm x 51 cm.
