Newfoundland (now in Canada). 'Sketch of the Ground round Signal Hill St. John's Newfoundland'. Shows Colonel Jervis's proposals for defence and for the site of a barracks, as set out in his letter of 20 February 1845 to the Inspector General of Fortifications. Scale: 3 inches to 1,200 feet. Compass indicator. Pencilled additions identify sites proposed by Colonel Nicolls to be occupied.
