Description

1 item (originally accompanying letter number 3 from the Officer Commanding the Royal Engineers to the Inspector General of Fortifications, 25 February 1853) extracted from WO 55/1621/5. Newfoundland (now in Canada). 'Sketch of ground above the new garrison hospital, St Johns, Newfoundland, shewing... the portion required to be appropriated as a garden for the surgeon until required'. Scale: 1 inch to 80 feet. Compass indicator. Signed: Lieutenant [?]Morris, Commanding Royal Engineers. The related letter is not preserved at the parent reference.
