Description

1 item (originally accompanying a letter from the Officer Commanding the Royal Engineers, 10 June 1846) extracted from WO 55/1621/5. Newfoundland (now in Canada). 'Sketch of the town of St Johns, Newfoundland shewing... the extent of the burnt district, destroyed by the fire on the 9th June 1846'. Scale: 1 inch to about 0.3 miles. Signed: Lieutenant C R Binney, Royal Engineers. The related letter is not preserved at the parent reference.
