3 items extracted from WO 55/1620/6. Jamaica: Saint Andrew Parish. (6) 'Section through the hill at Newcastle showing the slips on each side of officer's quarters during the late rains; (7) 'Section showing soldier's barracks...with the retaining wall...which fell during the late heavy rains; (8) 'Section showing a fall of earth during the late heavy rains'. Reference notes. Scale: 1 inch to 20 feet. All items signed: Lieutenant C [?]de Gallais, Royal Engineers, 6 January 1854; also signed: Lieutenant Colonel P Yule. Apparently originally accompanying letter number 701, 7 January 1854, which is not preserved at the parent reference.
