Middle East: Ottoman Empire, Persia. 'Sketch of the Province of Zohab': map (of territory now in Iran and Iraq) showing the frontier as claimed by the Ottoman and Persian commissioners and as proposed by the mediating commissioner; also marking 'the limits of Mr. Soane's map of 1912'. Scale 1 inch to 4.1 miles. Based on Colonel Sheil's map, 1852; lithographed for the Foreign Office by Harrison and Sons, Saint Martins Lane. On sheet 45 cm x 47 cm. Originally enclosed with a print of despatch number 182 from Sir Gerard Lowther, British Ambassador, Constantinople: Foreign Office Confidential Print, Daily Print Section, Persia B, 2836h-1, 8 March 1913.
