Middle East: Ottoman Empire, Persia. 2 sketch maps showing 3 suggested frontiers in the area (now in Iran and Iraq) around Mandali and Zohab; also showing relief and rivers. (1) Lithographed, coloured; damaged: a thin horizontal strip is missing; (2) MS, coloured. Prepared by E B Soane; item 1 lithographed by Harrison and Sons, Saint Martin's Lane. Both items signed: E B Soane, Chah-i-Shurkh, 13 January 1913. Originally enclosed in: (1) Foreign Office Confidential Print, Daily Print Section, Persia, 2836c-1, 3 March 1913; (2) despatch number 158 from Sir Gerard Lowther, British Ambassador, Baghdad, to the Foreign Office, 25 February 1913.
