'Central & South Africa': map of the area south of 12°N, showing boundaries. Reference table to railways, steamer routes and telegraph lines. Printed for the Edinburgh Geographical Institute by J Batholomew and Co. Insets: map of: England and Wales; Cape Town; the Cape Town area; Port Elizabeth; East London; Durban; Lourenço Marques (now Maputo, Mozambique) and Delagoa Bay (now Maputo Bay); the mouths of the Zambezi River. MS additions, coloured, showing the approximate distances reached in the construction, in Angola, of railway lines stretching east from Luanda, Benguela and Mossamedes (now Namibe). Originally enclosed with minutes on a report from Consul H G Mackie, Luanda, concerning railway construction progress in Angola, 27 January 1909.
