The Balkans. 'Cartes des nouvelles frontières entre la Serbie, la Roumanie, la Bulgarie, la Roumélie Orientale et les provinces immédiates de la Turquie selon les decisions du Congrès de Berlin, Juillet 1878': (21) 'Frontière sud de la Roumélie orientale', with French, Slav and Turkish glossary of place name elements.; (22) 'Frontière entre la Bulgarie du N, les provinces Turques du Vilayet de Salonique au S. et la partie ouest de la Roumélie orientale au SE'; (23) 'Frontière du Balkan entre la Bulgarie au N. et la Roumélie orientale au sud'. Inset 'Frontière entre la Roumanie et la Bulgarie'; (24) 'La nouvelle frontière S. et E. de la Serbie vers les provinces Turques du Vilayet de Kossovo et la Bulgarie', with three insets of enlarged areas of the main map. All reduced from the original survey made by the Boundary Commission, 1879. Topography from the Austrian Staff Map. Compiled by Heinrich Kiepert. Engraved by Wilhelm Droysen. Lithographed by Wilhelm Greve, Berlin. Published by Dietrich Reimer, Berlin, 1881. Inset maps from manuscript surveys by M.G. Lejean, 1867-9. Illustrating pamphlet: 'Zeitschrift der Gesellschaft für Erdkunde zu Berlin... von Prof. Dr. W. Kaner', 1881. The areas coverd by the maps are now in Bulgaria, Turkey, Serbia and Montenegro and Romania.
