The Balkans. Three copies of 'Map of Eastern Roumelia under Treaty of Berlin 13 th July 1878'. Also shows proposed southern boundary of Bulgaria under the Treaty of San Stefano. Reference table. Scale: 1.55 inches to 40 miles [1:1,635,100]. Place names taken from the Austrian Staff Map as recorded in Protocol 19 of the Berlin Congress, 12 July 1878 [Drawn and lithographed by] Stanford's Geographical Establishment, Charing Cross, London. The area shown is now in Bulgaria, Turkey and Greece. (7) As above. (8) As above, with marginal notes indicating corrections to be made. (9) As above, incorporating the corrections indicated in (8). These amendments were not accepted in the published version: see E Hertslet, The Map of Europe by Treaty. 1814-1891, vol IV, 1891.
