North Atlantic Ocean, Canada and United States of America. Map showing British naval stations in the Atlantic and the positions of proposed defences at Montreal and Quebec. The principal arsenals and fortified points of the northern and southern states are also shown. Reference table to British stations and proposed defences, American stations, Confederate territory in 1861 and Federal gains since then. Scale: 1 inch to 83.25 miles. Published by Stanford's Geographical Establishment, London. Coloured, MS additions show a circuit of 650 nautical miles from Bermuda.
