Saxe to Cumberland: he was willing to accede to the capitulation of Maastricht, but as its commandant would not surrender without orders, he has granted him forty-eight hours to send to the states general. Regarding Cumberland's other proposals, he will inform him when he has received instructions from the king. Dated at camp before Maastricht. ff. 277, 278
