Tomlinson v Thompson. Bill and two answers.

Plaintiffs:

  • John Tomlinson and Mary Tomlinson his wife (of Ginners, Embleton, parish of Brigham, Cumberland),
  • Isaac Little and Hannah Little his wife (of Blindbothel, Brigham, Cumberland),
  • Ann Rooke spinster (of Maryport, Crosscanonby, Cumberland),
  • John Wilkinson and Jane Wilkinson his wife (of Plumbland Mill, Plumbland, Cumberland)
  • and Isaac Rooke (of Plumbland, Cumberland).

Defendants: John Bolton, Isaac Thompson, John Bolton Rooke, Martha Rooke, George Rooke, Elizabeth Rooke and Pearson Rooke.

Subject: Will of John Rooke of Stanger, Embleton, Cumberland, proved 9 January 1832, and failure of John Bolton, executor, to complete the agreed sale of property to Isaac Thompson, thus preventing execution of will.

Also includes appointment of John Bolton Rooke as the guardian of Martha Rooke, George Rooke, Elizabeth Rooke and Pearson Rooke, infants under the age of 21.
