The Committee on Structural Precautions against Air Attack was appointed in February 1936, under the chairmanship of Sir Arnold Wilson, to report on the nature of material damage likely to result from air attack and on appropriate counter measures. An interim report, submitted in September 1936, brought together the reports of the sub-committees set up by the committee, and the final report was submitted in 1939.
